My recent projects represent the contrasts. The first is a new folk bag in warm colors. The second is a custom order doll cardigan in cold colors.
In this bag I thought about sustainable living and growing vegetables from seeds. The bag is a combination of crochet, knitting and one of those fabrics I have designed myself.
The cardigan has a spring theme: snow, yellow-green and the first flowers of the season. I love those buttons, I was lucky to find them! I have hand dyed the colored yarns.

I made this layout yesterday to have a memory of my beagle Toni's puppies. He fathered the puppies a year ago so they are big dogs now. I have also had Toni's mother Hilppa, so the puppies represent the third generation. Toni and Hilppa are in the corner photo and the other photos are from our visit to the breeder to see the puppies. Unfortunately we were very busy a year ago and were unable to raise any of them!

A scrap book page "The Ice Lantern"
This winter has been extraordinary cold in the Southern Finland where I live. I have really enjoyed it. This layout was made a couple of weeks ago. We managed to make ice lanterns and I wanted to document the process.

A scrapbook page "Barcelona 2009"
We had great time at Barcelona last summer. My husband insisted to take the camera with us, and as always, I was opposed to it. But now, when I have become hooked on scrapbooking, I am so grateful he took the photos, many very memorable afterwards! I swear, the camera will be my best friend wherever I go next time!

Here's my entry for the Three Muses Challenge of the week. The theme is Angels. I thought it would be great to have springtime there too as even if it's very winter in Finland we are getting nearer the summer every day.
This is actually a page for the deco booklet called "Wings". And the style is boring old me, too much of everything! I cannot understand how I can enjoy overdecorating, even after designer studies. I do now the rules of using space and all. It is just so much fun letting it go!
This weekend I made a very special scrapbook page about last summer's vacation at Barcelona. I just had no time to photograph it yet. 12 by 12 inches pages do not fit my A4 scanner.
I am so hooked in Cathy Zielske's scrapbooking books, I have to blog about those next time when I have the scrapbook page to show.

A scrapbook page "With the Help of Wool"
This is my first 12 by 12 inches scrapbook page made for the Finnish scrapbooking challenge in Inspiroidu blog. The challenge was about ice, not very difficult subject if you consider the extremely cold weather that we have currently in Finland! The photo was taken this morning by my husband. I took the dogs for a walk and they wore knitted sweaters that I made years ago.

A postcard for the authors of Good Mail Day.
I love snail mail. It is fun to receive, but even more, it is so much fun to send. That's one reason why I swap deco booklets that are sent by mail from one person to another.
Now I have discovered a new kind of postal hobby. I found a book called Good Mail Day from Amazon.com and I just had to buy it! It is about mail art - how people can make their own artist stamps and express themselves by making creative postcards, wildly decorated envelopes etc. I love this book!
The authors of the book also have a blog Make Every Day a Good Mail Day. I have also found an interesting web site Mail Art where mail art project calls are posted. New network of artists!
My postcard shown in the beginning of the post is made on a cardstock found in the book. The authors asked to send them some postcards so what could be more fun than to go wild and decorate one! I could and probably will make more of these!
